Regatta Highlights:
Union Reservoir is home to the Union Sailing Club, dedicated to supporting small boat and
youth sailing. With waterside boat mooring, camping with playground and a view of Longs
Peak and Twin Peaks this local no wake lake is perfect for this early season event.



Entry fee does not include mandatory Union Reservoir Park vehicle or boat passes, available

June 4 & 5, 2016
Boyd Lake State Park,  Willow Landing Beach
(Far North West Corner of the Park, 
go into the main entrance and keep going NORTH)
Remember to have your BOAT INSPECTED at the main boat ramp.
Hosted by Hobie Fleet 50

Friday: 
  • Boat Setup and practice.
  • Camp out for the weekend --- GET your camp reservations in EARLY.
  • Hang out at the beach and look at your boat while catching up with friends.
Saturday:
  • Registration 8:30--9:45 A.M.
  • Skippers meeting 10 A.M.
  • First Flag 11 A.M.  (wind permitting)
  • Buffalo Burger dinner between 5-6 P.M.
Sunday:
  • Warning Flag   ***  10 A.M. *** (wind permitting)
  • No races started after 3 P.M.
Registration Fees:
  • 2 person Hobie or open class cats $ 50.00
  • 1 person Hobie or open class cats $ 40.00
  • Additional meal tickets $ 10.00, kids 12 and under FREE
Eligibility:
The Regatta is open to all boats of the Hobie one-Design Classes and to non Hobie catamarans for open class fleet.  Open classes will be scored portsmouth.

Skipper or Crew must be a Hobie Class Association or IHCA member to earn Division Points and to be covered by Hobie insurance.

Proof of current liability insurance required.

REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:

Friday September 2nd - Bryan's legendary Long Distance Race;

Sandy Beach-front camping; 

Saturday Catered dinner & Beach bonfire!

Location:  East Theiss Bay - Lake McConaughy, Nebraska


Registration Fees:

All boat sizes   $ 75    (includes 2  giveaway packages & meal tickets)

Juniors racers are free     (18 and under includes 1 meal ticket)

Additional meal tickets: adults $ 10  , kids 12 & under $ 5

Friday Sept 2

2:00 pm Long distance race, Lemans beach start
Friday night – Big Top Tent Setup – Wind permitting

Saturday Sept 3

9 to 9:45 am:      Registration at Fleet tent
10 am.             Skippers meeting at Fleet tent
11:00 am         Warning signal, racing commences (wind permitting)

 DINNER approximately one hour following races (~6:00 pm) under the big top. 

Please bring  your chair, and a beverage of choice.

Sunday Sept 4

8:00 AM  Fleet 61 Meeting: Fleet 61 BOD nominations, Votes, selection:

Division 5 meeting; nominations, votes, selection; Discussion of 2017 regatta schedule

First flag as early as 10:00 am (wind permitting)

No races started after 3:00 pm.
Awards following the racing

Monday Sep 5
